For protected species, the Director of National Parks and Wildlife will require the person to produce a valid certificate of ownership of the species. The process of obtaining a fresh certificate of ownership is as follows |

Exporter must go to Department of National Parks and Wildlife with an application letter and government receipt showing that he legally obtained the material to be exported. |

The exporter must pay the prescribed fees |

The Director will then issue a certificate of ownership |
|

The Exporter must pay a fee (K3,000.00 each if Malawian and US$50 if non Malawian). See National Parks and Wildlife (Fees) Ammendment Regulations, 2011, 2nd Schedule, Permit Fees |

The permit is issued with prescribed conditions. |
